A 22-year-old Knox man faces felony burglary and assault charges after police say he forced his way into a Clarion Borough apartment, strangled a woman and damaged her cellphone.
Exploreclarion.com reports, police were called to the Grand Avenue Extension apartment around 6 p.m. Friday, August 7. According to court documents, Zachary Thomas Shuffstall allegedly entered after being told not to come, grabbed the woman by the throat and pushed her into a wall before smashing her phone and fleeing.
Charges were filed Monday, August 10, and a preliminary hearing has not yet been scheduled.
