PennDOT is investing more than $578,000 in traffic signal upgrades across Jefferson and Elk counties through the state’s Green Light-Go program.
Brookville Borough will receive nearly $377,500 to modernize the traffic signal at Main and Pickering streets. In Elk County, Ridgway Borough is getting just over $100,000 to upgrade signals along Main Street at four intersections, while the City of St. Marys will receive nearly $101,000 to modernize traffic signals at nine intersections throughout the city.
The funding is part of a statewide $38 million investment aimed at improving safety, reducing congestion and enhancing traffic flow.
