A preliminary hearing for a Clarion County man charged with setting fire to his Highland Township home has been postponed for a second time and is now scheduled for Sept. 15.
According to ExploreClarion.com, Prosecutors allege 40-year-old Mark McKissick Dehner intentionally started the April 1 fire, which destroyed the home and killed the family’s dog. Court records show Dehner remains free on $100,000 bail under GPS-monitored house arrest, while authorities have not disclosed the reason for the latest delay.
Dehner faces multiple felony charges, including arson, insurance fraud and aggravated cruelty to animals.
