A Shippenville man is facing felony charges after authorities say he stole more than $6,000 from a deceased friend’s bank account by repeatedly using the victim’s debit card at ATMs in Clarion County and elsewhere.
Explore venango.com is reporting, 56-year-old Phillip Patrick Coll allegedly made a series of unauthorized withdrawals between Feb. 24 and March 9, 2026, after the death of Kristopher Lee Allaman on Jan. 18. Investigators with the Knox Borough Police Department and Clarion County Detectives said surveillance footage captured Coll making withdrawals while driving vehicles linked to his painting business. Police said nearly $6,000 was taken from the account, along with additional bank fees.
Coll, who is reportedly on state parole, is lodged in the Clarion County Jail and faces multiple felony and misdemeanor counts, including access device fraud, theft by unlawful taking, and receiving stolen property.
