Officials in Brookville unveiled details of a multi-million-dollar master plan that includes upgrades to parks, recreation facilities, streetscapes and community spaces during a recent Eggs and Issues meeting hosted by the Brookville Area Chamber of Commerce.
According to an explorer jeffersonpa.com article, Borough Manager Dana Rooney said projects include a revamped Longview Park with a new amphitheater, splash pad and playground, improvements to the Red Bank Creek kayak launch, a Main Street streetscape redesign and plans for a new sports complex and community center near Hickory Grove Elementary School.
Additional proposals include trail connections, crosswalk upgrades and improvements at Memorial Park and Dr. Walter Dick Park, with some projects dependent on the completion of the Interstate 80 bridge replacement in 2027.
