Authorities in Jefferson County searched Tuesday for a person involved in what officials described as a “law enforcement incident” in Warsaw Township near Williams Road off Route 28.
WTAJ News is reporting that traffic on Route 28 remained open, but residents and motorists were urged to avoid the area as sheriff’s deputies and a helicopter conducted the search. Brockway Area School District briefly placed Brockway Area Junior/Senior High School on lockdown during the incident before lifting the precaution about 30 minutes later. Authorities said the suspect was not located, but emphasized there was no danger to the public.
More information is expected to be released Wednesday morning.
