An Elk County attorney has been disbarred by the Pennsylvania Supreme Court after findings of repeated professional misconduct, including failing to provide effective legal representation and engaging in sexually explicit communications with clients.
According to WTAJ News, Christopher John Martini was disbarred effective April 27 following multiple instances in which he missed filing deadlines, failed to submit required court documents and did not inform clients when their appeals were dismissed. Court records also detail incidents in which Martini solicited or paid for explicit images from female clients, including one case where he requested such material in lieu of payment for legal services.
The court determined his actions demonstrated a pattern of exploiting clients and posed an ongoing threat to the public.
