A Clearfield woman was arrested early April 23 after police said she attempted to enter a home that was not hers and later assaulted officers and hospital staff while in custody.
Authorities say, 38 year-old, Sara Gail Peangatelli, faces charges including aggravated assault, criminal trespass, assault of an officer, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct, according to Clearfield Regional Police. Officers responding to a call on Ogden Street around 6:44 a.m. found the homeowner restraining her in a doorway as she allegedly shouted incoherently and refused to leave. Police said she resisted arrest and was taken to Penn Highlands Clearfield, where she allegedly tried to bite and kick officers and staff. Peangatelli, who was on probation, was jailed on $100,000 bail.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for April 29.
