A 59-year-old Emlenton man is facing charges after allegedly crashing a vehicle into a Dollar General store in Piney Township, Clarion County, and leaving the scene earlier this month, according to state police.
According to ExploreVenango.com, the incident occurred April 3 along Route 68 near Sligo, where damage was reported to the building’s front wall and a safety bollard. Investigators identified Craig D. Bortz was the driver, who later admitted involvement; records indicate his license and the vehicle’s registration were both suspended.
Bortz faces a misdemeanor count of accidents involving property damage along with several summary offenses, and a preliminary hearing is scheduled for May 19.
