Emergency officials in McKean County confirmed that one person was killed in a fiery early morning crash in Kane Borough over the weekend.
State police say the unidentified driver was traveling at a high rate of speed when the vehicle struck a curb and slammed into the Wine and Spirits Store on North Fraley Street around 3:30 a.m. Sunday. The impact sparked a fire that damaged the car, the store, and an upstairs apartment.
Kane Volunteer Fire Department crews rescued two people from the apartment, but the driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
