The Homer City Borough Council tabled an ordinance for the proposed Indiana County Emergency Medical Service Authority on Tuesday night.
The council had tabled it at the authority meetings in January, wishing to discuss it before the full board. Councilman Matt Black expressed his disagreement with the idea, saying that the plan to add an extra fee to residents and businesses would force more people to leave the county and live elsewhere.
Kenneth “Cal” Cecconi said that he was in favor of it as there would be a layer of oversight with the board, and he believes that even if they pass the ordinance, there is still a way out if things don’t work out. The issue will come back before the board once they receive some answers
