INDIANA AREA & PURCHASE LINE SCHOOL BOARDS WILL LOOK AT RIVER VALLEY ISSUE OF RESCINDING MEMBERSHIP WITH ICTC

At their meetings Monday night, both the Indiana Area and Purchase Line school boards will take up the issue of the River Valley School District’s notification that it intends to rescind its membership with the Indiana County Technology Center Board.

River Valley’s board voted to withdraw from the ICTC compact in May and the founding charter gives the other partner districts one year to either approve or disapprove it. After the withdrawal notification, some members of River Valley’s board indicated that they would be willing to take the issue to court if necessary.
