On April 20, 23-year-old Edward Tray Maris, of Parker, allegedly used counterfeit money to buy a PlayStation in East Brady Borough. He faces charges of forgery and theft by deception. ExploreClarion.Com reports, Maris reportedly contacted the seller via Facebook, agreed to pay $300, and used fake money marked “MOTION PICTURE PURPOSES.” Maris admitted to buying the counterfeit money online and using it to purchase the PlayStation, intending to resell it for profit. He is also accused of a similar crime on April 20 in Madison Township. Maris is free on unsecured bail, with a preliminary hearing set for July 30.
