A DuBois woman, 49-year-old Betty Jo Cyphert, faces several charges including, child endangerment, for allegedly using a stun gun on her three children. WTAJ News is reporting, the accusations arose after CYS and Sandy Township police were called to her home on April 9.
Her children claimed she used a camo taser as punishment, with the oldest child recounting instances of being tased while doing dishes and having to sleep on the cold floor in only underwear. In her defense, Cyphert admitted to demonstrating the stun gun’s effects on herself and her husband, then using it on the children once, but denied repeated use.
Authorities determined the children were indeed shocked, leading to the charges against her.
