A DuBois man, John Lentz Jr., 53, was arrested after an attempted robbery at a local Burger King. WTAJ News reports, Lentz allegedly drove the getaway car while Richard Smeal reportedly assaulted a female employee in the parking lot, demanding the nightly deposit.
Authorities say Smeal, armed with an airsoft gun, attacked the woman but fled when another car arrived. Police tracked the suspects through the car’s license plate, leading to Lentz’s arrest.
He faces charges of robbery, theft, and fleeing, with bail set at $150,000. Smeal is still at large and presumed dangerous by police.
