This week, Sandy Township decided to end its lawsuit against DuBois regarding consolidation.
According to WJAC News, the lawsuit, initiated last June due to concerns over criminal charges against the then-city manager of DuBois, Herm Suplizio, was officially “discontinued.”
Sandy Township raised financial concerns, as consolidation would involve assuming all debts and liabilities of both municipalities. Township manager Shawn Arbaugh confirmed the lawsuit’s discontinuation, leaving open the possibility of refiling in the future.
