A 47-year-old woman, Allison Marion Nunes, from Springfield, Virginia, faces charges after allegedly crashing her vehicle into a tree in Bell Township, while under the influence.
According to ExploreJeffersonPa.com, the crash, involving a white Chevrolet Equinox with a juvenile passenger, occurred on Cloe Lake Road. Nunes, who admitted to consuming alcohol before the incident, was found with watery, bloodshot eyes and a strong odor of alcohol. Field sobriety tests led to her arrest for DUI.
A subsequent toxicology report revealed elevated blood alcohol content and positive THC findings. Nunes faces multiple charges including DUI, endangering the welfare of children, and traffic violations. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for May 16.
