The two abandoned dogs who were found shot in Clearfield County, last week are now shedding light on the need for more humane officers.
Dennyboy, one of the dogs, survived but will have a leg amputated. State police are investigating as animal abuse cases rise. In response, Centre County designated a deputy sheriff as their new humane officer, aiming to tackle abuse on a regional level.
Animal Matter of Clearfield County is fundraising for Dennyboy’s medical bills, hoping he’ll find a loving home once he recovers.
