33-year-old, Chelsea Cooley, from Everett, pleaded guilty to third-degree murder and felony counts of strangulation and endangering the welfare of a child.
According to WTAJ News, she was sentenced to 40-80 years in prison for choking and killing a three-year-old boy by shoving baby wipes down his throat.
Cooley’s actions were described as horrific by Attorney General Michelle Henry, who emphasized that she was responsible for caring for the child. An autopsy revealed signs of abuse, including scratches and handprints, as well as hemorrhaging in the boy’s trachea.
