The 30th Big Run Peepers Banquet celebrated the spring tradition with Mayor Joe Buterbaugh proclaiming March 17-23 as Big Run Peepers Week.
According to the Punxsutawney Spirit, Tom Curry gave a speech on nostalgia and technology, while Canoe Ridge provided entertainment. Melody Hollopeter was named Citizen of the Year, and Marc Cole Means received an honorary title for their community contributions.
