The Penguins will hope to break out of their slump tonight when they take to the road against the Ottawa Senators. The Pens have lost three in a row, scoring only one goal in the three games, and they have dropped six of their last seven. In the midst of it all, they’ve traded two of the most popular players in the locker room, high-scoring winger Jake Guentzel and veteran defenseman Chad Ruhwedel.
Yesterday, the Pens put rookie forward Jonathan Gruden on waivers, hoping he goes unclaimed by 2 PM today and can be sent to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton. Gruden has appeared in eleven games this season with one goal as he’s traveled back and forth between the NHL and AHL five times.
Tonight’s game faces off shortly after 7 o’clock.
