A Clearfield County couple, Abigail Bumbarger and Franklin Minicucci are facing assault charges for injuries sustained by a 1-year-old child, including skull fractures and a brain bleed.
According to GantNews.com, the child was taken to Penn Highlands DuBois in August and later flown to UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh for treatment. Although the couple initially provided no explanation for the injuries, a doctor concluded they were indicative of physical child abuse.
Both have been charged with felonies for aggravated assault and endangering the welfare of children.
