DuBois and Sandy Township recently resumed discussions on consolidation after a pause due to legal challenges and a forensic audit related to missing funds.
According to WTAJ News, despite ongoing uncertainties, both municipalities aim to continue the consolidation process, setting milestones and a target completion date of January 5, 2026. The forensic audit is delayed pending sensitive information from the Attorney General’s office.
