The City of DuBois presented a budget and tax plan that, if passed unchanged, will not include any tax increases in 2024.
According to GantNews.Com, to finalize the decision, there are two more steps: a public hearing and second reading on December 11, and a second public hearing and final passage on December 26. The online reports adds, Mayor Eddy Walsh announced that this was his final meeting and he will not be able to attend the December meetings.
Councilmember Pat Reasinger will be the new City Mayor starting January 1. Mayor Walsh expressed pride in serving with the council and wished them luck going forward, acknowledging the challenges they faced in the last eight months.
