A missing child has been recovered by the Punxsutawney Borough Police.
According to the Punxsutawney Spirit, on October 5th, authorities received a report regarding a 16-year-old girl who was potentially being trafficked in the area. The Bedford Massachusetts Police Department and Massachusetts State Police sought assistance in locating the girl. The published reports says surveillance footage from a shopping center revealed the juvenile getting into a gray SUV. The driver admitted to being paid to drop the girl off at a business on East Mahoning Street in Punxsutawney.
The Spirit adds new information received on October 6th led officers into the kitchen area of the restaurant where the juvenile was subsequently recovered. The investigation is ongoing.
