A person was killed in a house fire in Jefferson County on Saturday morning.
The Punxsutawney Spirit and WJAC News report, the fire occurred in Gaskill Township on Route 36 around 11:30 a.m. The victim, 51-year-old Jody Smith, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Multiple fire departments and State Police responded to the incident. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
