Jefferson County Commissioner Jeff Pisarcik proposed approving several applications for payment during Tuesday’s meeting.
According to The Punxsutawney Spirit, the applications were submitted by the Hotel Tax Committee and included funding for various projects. These included reprinting brochures for the Brockway Recreational Revitalization Group, advertising a drive-in event for the Brookville Area Chamber of Commerce, promoting the Wojack Weekend for PRIDE (Punxsutawney Revitalization), and advertising the Tasting Tour Project for the Brookville Chamber of Commerce.
The Spirit adds the motion was seconded and passed with two “yes” votes and one abstention from Scott North, who cited a conflict of interest due to his involvement in one of the organizations.
