Pennsylvania State Police based in Punxsutawney conducted a sobriety checkpoint this past Saturday night along Route 36 in Young Township of Jefferson County.
The primary focus was to remove drug and alcohol impaired drivers from the highway. During the detail troopers came into contact with 96 motorists. Of those a total of two DUI arrests and one drug arrest were made.
Members also issued a total of 18 traffic citations and 19 written warnings.
