Yesterday morning around 8:15 a.m., all three Punxsutawney volunteer fire companies responded to a traffic collision at the intersection of Park Avenue and North Penn Street.
According to the Punxsutawney Spirit only Elk Run’s Squad-30 remained on the scene as both vehicles were off the roadway. The Spirit adds, the accident involved a dark-colored Jeep that went past a stop sign and crashed into a red Pontiac traveling on Park Avenue. Jefferson County EMS, and two towing businesses, assisted the Punxsutawney Borough Police Department at the scene.
