A woman from Punxsutawney was taken into custody following an incident in Jefferson County during the early morning hours of July 4th.
According to the Pennsylvania State Police around 3 am, they conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of Hampton Avenue and Torrence Street in Punxsutawney for an equipment violation. Police say during the stop the 25 year passenger struck a trooper with the car door and refused to follow commands. She allegedly continued to resist arrest before being taken into custody.
