State Representative Daryl Metcalfe on Tuesday introduced a resolution co-sponsored by Jeff Pyle and Cris Dush that calls for the impeachment of Governor Tom Wolf.
The resolution in part says: Wolf exceeded his authority with some of his executive orders and he did not have the authority to issue stay-at-home orders and close all businesses that were not “life-sustaining.” State representative Jim Struzzi said he is reviewing them thoroughly before he makes any decision.
Impeachment requires a simple majority vote from the state House to move to a trial in the Senate, where two-thirds of senators would have to vote in favor of removing Wolf from office.
