
Pennsylvania State Police in DuBois released information about the fatal accident that happened on Tuesday afternoon (12:44) on I-80 in Washington Township of Jefferson County.
The crash occurred between the Airport Exit and the DuBois/Brockway Exit when, according to police, 35 year-old Jason Henry of Roswell New Mexico, was traveling east when he lost control of his Compact SUV and exited the roadway, and overturned onto its roof prior to colliding with trees. Henry was pronounced dead at the scene, while his passenger, 26 year-old Shelby Black also of Roswell New Mexico, was flown to UPMC Altoona for treatment of serious injuries.
Police say they found pills, a lemon 7 THC lolly pop and a pill crusher at the crash site. PennDOT and Falls Creek VFD assisted at the scene.
