Herm Suplizio was named Acting Fire Chief of the DuBois Fire Department for this week.
With DuBois Fire Chief Joe Mitchell and Assistant Fire Chiefs Tony Roy and Mike Federici heading to Nevada for first responder training and continuing education, Suplizio will temporarily return to his role as Chief. Suplizio served as fire chief of DuBois from 1993 to 1998.
Suplizio announced his intention to seek the Republican nomination for State Senator of the 25th District following Senator Joe Scarnati’s retirement.
