Dush has announced that he will run for State Auditor General.
Dush told the website PoliticsPA that he had been planning to run for State Senate when there was speculation that Senate president Pro Tempore Joe Scarnatti was considering retirement, but when Scarnatti announced in December that he would run again, Dush decided to seek the Auditor General post.
Current Auditor General Eugene DePasquale cannot run for a third term because of a term limit imposed by the state constitution.
