A woman from Brookville was charged for careless driving on Friday night in Eldred Township of Jefferson County.
Pennsylvania State Police in DuBois say 43 year old Crystal Stark was traveling south on state route 36 and failed to negotiate a left hand curve and continued off the right hand shoulder and into an embankment before hitting a utility pole.
Stark was not injured; however, she was charged for careless driving and arrested for suspicion of DUI.

A woman from DuBois was arrested for driving under the influence in Sandy Township of Clearfield County on Saturday morning.
Authorities conducted a traffic stop on route 219 just north of Falls Creek and when Pennsylvania State Police DuBois talked with the 38 year old driver they suspected she was under the influence of a controlled substance. Following an interview and field sobriety tests it was determined she had used heroin and prescription medications. She was arrested and taken to Penn Highlands DuBois for a blood draw then transported to the Clearfield County Jail for outstanding Domestic relations warrants.
Charges are being filed the the District Court.
