The Punxsutawney Area Hospital will participate in the Pennsylvania Rural Health Model.
According to ExploreJeffersonPA.com, Governor Tom Wolf made the announcement yesterday. The goal is to ensure the financial viability of hospitals in rural areas.
The published report says Aetna will join other insurance companies, including Gateway, Geisinger, Highmark, Medicare and UPMC.
