A man from Indiana fell asleep at the wheel and crashed in Jefferson County.
Pennsylvania State Police in DuBois say on Friday around 3 pm, 80 year old Earl Aimino was traveling north on West Main Street in Sykesville, when he passed out and crossed the center line, then hit a utility pole. The vehicle overturned onto its side.
Sykesville ambulance took him to Penn Highlands DuBois where he was flown by Stat MedEvac to Altoona for a medical evaluation. Sykesville VFD assisted and his car was towed from the crash site. Officers determined Aimino was at fault and cited accordingly.
