Last night in Jefferson County, someone was driving around without their lights on and when Pennsylvania State Police pulled the driver over he was arrested for DUI.
Officers conducted the traffic stop close to midnight on Graffius Avenue Extension in Punxsutawney and report they could smell alcohol and marijuana coming from inside the vehicle with a 22 year old man from Reynoldsville behind the wheel.
Following the field sobriety tests, the unnamed driver was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence. Police say they found a small amount of suspected marijuana and drug paraphernalia in the vehicle.

The Indiana County DUI Task Force is conducting enforcement efforts with DUI checkpoints, DUI roving patrols, and DUI mobile awareness.
The Task Force members will be on the lookout not only for those driving under the influence of alcohol, but also of drugs. Drug-impaired driving is increasingly becoming a problem, and it’s not as easily detected as alcohol.
The Indiana County DUI Task Force consists of various law enforcement agencies and is funded by a $10,000 grant from PennDOT.
