There was a fatal crash that happened this morning in Howe Township of Forest County.
Pennsylvania State Police in Marienville say after midnight someone was traveling north on Route 66, south of the Elk County line when for unknown reasons they crossed over the southbound lane and hit a tree on the west side of the roadway.
The 41 year old man from Kane was not wearing a seat belt and his name was not released.
Sheffield VFD Ambulance Service transported the driver to UPMC in Kane where they say he died as a result of the crash.
