Felony charges of animal cruelty were filed on Monday against a man from Punxsutawney.
According to ExploreJeffersonPA.com, Willow Run Sanctuary & Adoption Inc. filed criminal charges of Aggravated Cruelty to Animals (Felony 3) and Cruelty to Animals against 41-year-old Emanuel Yoder. The published report cites the criminal complaint that suggests Yoder failed to provide veterinary care for an emaciated pony with a left hip dislocation, which had to be humanely euthanized.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, November 19, with Judge Mizerock presiding.
