Western Pennsylvania gas prices moved downward as crude prices dropped recently.
The average price of gasoline across Western Pennsylvania is two cents cheaper this week at $2.861 per gallon, according to AAA East Central’s Gas Price Report.
The average price during last week was $2.88, whereas, last year at this time it was $3.11 per gallon. The average price of unleaded self-serve gasoline in various areas: Punxsutawney and Indiana stands at $2.90, in DuBois it’s averaging at $2.77, $2.80 in Brookville, Clarion $2.85.
On the national front, the gas price average is $2.65, which is the same price as last week, and is seven cents more expensive than last month, but 22 cents cheaper than a year ago.
