Charges are now pending for a construction company out of Irvona for an incident that occurred between June 6 and September 5 in Clearfield County.
The Pennsylvania State Police in Punxsutawney say they received a report from the victims: A 41 year old woman and a 44 year old man from Mahaffey, who stated they hired John Sofronski of S & S Construction to put a new roof on their house on Market Street. According to the report, Sofronski, cashed the check more than three months ago, which paid for half the cost
of the project.
The police report states Sofronski has refused to return calls from the victims or Pennsylvania State Police in Punxsutawney. Charges are pending approval from the Clearfield County District Attorney.
