A dog park in Punxsutawney has support from the Punxsutawney Borough Council.
Last night the Borough Council meeting was called to order by vice president Toby Santik, as President Larry Chenoga was absent. Punxsutawney resident Jason Martino originally proposed the dog park and has actively sought financial supporters. The possible location is Carter Avenue, which is a block away from where Martino and his wife live and they offered to be the caretakers of the park.
Santik offered that the council is supportive of the dog park; however, they had to table the proposal until next moth because they need to investigate liability issues.
