Authorities found a small pot growing operation in Hickory Township of Forest County.
On August 30 around 1:40 in the afternoon Pennsylvania State Police in Marienville was requested to assist a postal inspector and when they arrived at the residence on 43rd Street, a strong odor of marijuana could be smelled emanating from inside the residence. When the owner gave his consent to search the building, that’s when police found a small grow operation along with multiple pieces of drug paraphernalia.
Names along with other information were not in the police report as the investigation is ongoing.

Limited information was released about a case of assault in Howe Township of Forest County.
The incident took place on Sunday afternoon around 1:30 at a Youth and Family services facility on Abraxas Road and Deadman Corners Road when a physical altercation between a 57 year old staff member of Marienville and a client.
The names and other information were not in the police report.

We have an update of a case of assault that was reported back on July 6th in Grant Township of Indiana County.
Pennsylvania State Police say the incident happened around 5:30 pm on Richmond Road when a 31 year old woman claimed she was assaulted by her brother.
Officers determined the victim was injured; however, after further investigation prosecution was declined because the suspect was preventing his sister from driving her vehicle while intoxicated.
