Last week two motorcycle’s were involved in an accident in Clarion County…
Authorities say the crash happened on the part of route 28 know as Brookville Street, just South of Maple Street in Redbank Township, when 50 year old Wilda Grantz of Brookville was traveling north and hit the back of a motorcycle driven by 57 year old Douglas Dunkle of Clarion. Dunkle lost control of his bike as it was pushed forward and laid it just ahead of Grantz’s motorcycle.
Grantz was Life Flighted to Allegheny General Hospital for treatment of a head injury (she was not wearing a helmet) and Dunkle was slightly injured but refused medical treatment (he was wearing a helmet). Clarion Hospital EMS and Hawthorn FVD assisted the scene. Grantz was charged for not driving at a safe speed.
