A man from Dubois was seriously injured in a motorcycle accident that happened yesterday close to 5 pm in Washington Township…
The PSP in Dubois report 57 year old Donald Coleman was traveling west on Airport Road near Rockdale Road in Jefferson county when a deer entered the roadway making it impossible for him to avoid the collision. When Coleman hit the deer in the westbound lane his bike went on its left side and skidded down the road for over 360 feet before coming to a rest.
Coleman was wearing his helmet, but sustained a severe leg injury and other suspected internal injuries and was flown from the scene by Life Flight to Altoona Hospital. Falls Creek VFD and DuSan Ambulance assisted at the scene.
