This time, the caller is claiming to be with Publisher’s Clearing House saying that the victim has won a prize. A potential victim called police after receiving several of these calls, and fortunately that person did not sustain any financial loss.
Police recommend that individuals verify the legitimacy of any monetary solicitation, whether it comes from the phone, an email, regular mail, or text message before providing any personal or banking information.
