There was a single-vehicle accident on Saturday afternoon in Bell Township where the driver had to be extracted.
The Punxsutawney Spirit reports the crash happened after 3 o’clock when the driver of a pickup was traveling north on Route 36 and lost control at the intersection with Presloid Lane, and hit a utility pole causing wires to fall across the roadway while the truck rolled over several times.
The published report says the passengers were able to escape, but the driver had to be extracted and transported to the Punxsutawney Area Hospital for treatment of unknown injuries.
Names were not released.
