The Pennsylvania State Police want all Commonwealth residents to be aware they do not solicit private citizens for funding by phone, mail or through the web.
Department regulations strictly prohibit troopers from seeking monetary donations of any kind. If you get a request for cash via a call, obtain as much information as possible about the caller, e.g., name, call back number, and notify your local state police station as soon as possible. The same goes for a solicitation over the internet; take a copy to the local Pennsylvania State Police station.
