The state House has approved a nearly $34 billion state budget for the fiscal year which begins July 1st…
Representatives from Indiana and Clearfield Counties: Jim Struzzi of the 62ndDistrict, Matt Gabler of the 75th and Tommy Sankey of the 73rd District voted in favor of house bill 790.
The General appropriation portion of the state budget, which includes no new taxes or fees, passed the House on a 140-62 vote. House Democratic Leader Frank Dermody, who voted for the budget says it moves the state forward, even though the spending plan doesn’t include things Democrats had sought. But House Majority Leader Bryan Cutler says not everybody was going to get everything they wanted. The budget will now be taken up by the Senate.
